This server connects an AI assistant to a Redash instance. Of my MCP servers it covers the most ground, with tools in four groups:
- Queries: list, read, create and update queries, execute one with parameters, and fetch the results
- Dashboards: list, read, create and update dashboards, and get their widgets or a summary
- Data sources: list, read, create, update, delete and test connections, plus a summary
- Users: list users, show the current user, user statistics, and a health check on the instance
So you can ask an assistant to run a saved query with a parameter, or to test whether a data source can still connect.
It needs your Redash URL and an API key. The README sets it up for Claude Code, but it runs over stdio like any other MCP server. I wrote it in a single commit in August 2025, and I haven’t changed it since.
